Jodie, who is now at Trevecca University, Nashville, Tennessee, has had her first practice day, having had to self isolate on arrival in USA. As you will see from the photos it is sunny and warm. In fact it's hot! 32 degrees. Needless to say, she is unaccustomed to those temperatures and she consumed 7 bottles of iced water over 9 holes! Good luck Jodie from us all at Downfield. The weather was perfect, the course was in excellent condition- in fact, it was a perfect day for the Club championships' finals. Congratulations to Jodie who was once again the Ladies Club Champion, to Margret, the Bronze champion and commiserations to Sue and Helen who although the runners up were strong opponents. Their caddies, Daphne, Campbell, Marlow and Angela did a sterling job as did the referees, Pat G and Avril. It was an exciting and very enjoyable day which our photographer Pat Campbell captured the mood as can be seen in these fabulous photos. Jodie has just been signed up by the NCCA Division 2 Trevecca University in Nashville Tennessee. She joins up with Head Coach David Head and the Trojan’s team in August this year. We wish you all the very best Jodie and will miss you very much. What a tremendous achievement and opportunity! Sadly though, her leaving will considerably raise the average age of the lady members again!
